About this tool
Merging is one of those jobs that sounds trivial until you are staring at five separate scans, a cover letter and a signed form that all have to go out as one attachment. This tool stitches the pages together exactly as they are, so nothing gets re-rendered or squashed along the way.
Because the work is done by your own browser, you can merge private paperwork, contracts or ID scans without handing them to a server. If you need to trim the result afterwards, use Delete PDF Pages, or shrink a heavy file with Compress PDF.
Good to know
- Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged. Save an unlocked copy first.
- Bookmarks and interactive form fields from the original files may not carry over. The pages themselves look the same.
- Very large files depend on your device memory. If a phone struggles, try a computer.
Merge PDF: frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
There is no fixed limit. The practical limit is your device memory, so dozens of normal documents are fine, while hundreds of megabytes on an older phone may be slow.
Will merging reduce the quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, without being turned into images, so text stays sharp and selectable.
Can I merge PDFs on my iPhone or Android phone?
Yes. Open this page in Safari or Chrome, tap the box to choose files from the Files app or your Downloads, and save the result the same way.
Can I change the order after adding files?
Yes. Drag a row to a new position or use the up and down arrows before you press Merge.
